Come to our lab and help us train our robots! We prefer candidates who have their own business license, even as a sole proprietor. It only costs $25 on the WA State website. No prior experience, degree or previous training required. Enthusiasm for robotics is ideal. Please email if you have additional questions.
1. Services Overview
Consultant shall provide services related to robot teleoperation and software testing using the GRID platform and multiple robot
platforms (including but not limited to the UR5, Galaxea, Ghost v60 and Unitree Go2). Consultant shall perform the Services in
accordance with the deliverables described below. The expected engagement is estimated at approximately 6-8 hours per day, 5
days per week; this is an estimate only, and Consultant determines the schedule, pace, and timing of work within the agreed
scope. Certain Services require on-site access to Company equipment. Such access does not alter Consultant’s status as an
independent contractor or Company’s separation from the Consultant’s work methods.
2. Deliverables
Robotic Manipulation: Teleoperation and Testing
• Collect robot arm teleoperation data (using UR5 and Galaxea robots) on a list of skills for 68 hours (list of skills/robot
combinations to be agreed upon with the Head of AI; such coordination regarding technical parameters does not
constitute supervision of the manner or means of Consultant’s work)
• Evaluate manipulation policies on the UR5 after they have been trained for 24 hours
Robotic Navigation and Mapping
• Annotate objects in previously mapped areas (label 3D locations in the map viewing software to cover a fixed set of
objects) (4 hours)
• Evaluate GRID navigation skill on Galaxea, Go2 and G1 robots, planning 5 missions of 10+ meters each (depending on
the area) using the GRID-CLI, and evaluate the robot’s performance in traversing those missions (24 hours)
3. Deliverable Acceptance
Consultant will submit deliverables to the Company directly via the GRID platform. Company shall review deliverables within five
(5) business days. A deliverable shall be deemed accepted if Company does not provide written rejection within the review period.
If a deliverable is rejected, Company shall provide written notice describing the deficiencies, and Consultant shall correct the
issues within a reasonable time.
4. Reporting and Time Tracking
Consultant shall provide weekly or monthly time reports summarizing hours worked, tasks completed, and any notes relevant to
the Services. Invoices must correspond to the submitted time reports. Consultant is responsible for submitting invoices to
Company; Company will not initiate payment absent a submitted invoice.
