Homemade wood/log splitter:
1958 Wisconsin AGND engine, 12.5 hp, parts readily available. Runs fine, doesn't charge. Will run all day + on charged battery.
Twin cylinder ram, has swiveling hoist for heavy wood. Adjustable auto-return. Single wedge. Farm-style hitch. No lights. Starter needs a hammer tap to engage.
Tires are shot but will hold air overnight. Has some Rube Goldberg engineered mounts for gas tank and starter switch. Worked for me.
For history buffs: this was built by the parts man at Lovell's Farm Equipment in Newtown. Formerly at the intersection of Rt 25 and 302 where the previous police station was.
Not perfect, not new, not fast. But if you're looking for something to run all day on not a lot of gas and don't mind tinkering this might be it. Always split anything I threw on the beam.
CASH only. Leave msg, I get a 100 spam calls a week. Have L/B and mini exc., can help load. Battery stays with me.
