Looking for my next horse and hoping someone may have the right one sitting in their pasture.
I’m open to either a safe, broke horse that I can enjoy now or the right younger/project horse that I can bring along with professional help. I’ve owned horses before and currently work for an equine veterinarian, but it’s been a while since I’ve ridden consistently, so temperament and a good mind are very important to me.
Ideally looking for:
* Mare or gelding
* Around 14.3h+ preferred
* Stockier build preferred, but open to breed
* Broke/trail horse or a sensible young prospect
* Good-minded, willing and reasonably easy to handle
* Minor maintenance considered
Budget around $2,000, depending on the horse. Located in the Redding area and willing to travel within California or into Southern Oregon for the right fit.
This would be a permanent home. I’m not looking to flip or resell. I’m also completely open to hearing about horses that aren’t currently advertised.
