I'd like a simple shelf that sits along the back of the desk, a bit like a small bridge. It's a flat top on two short legs, so I can keep things on top and tuck more underneath. It doesn't attach to anything. It just sits on the desk.
It's three plywood cuts plus one support strip, a pretty quick job for someone with a shop. I've attached a schematic and a mock-up photo of the finished piece. I'm hoping to have it by Saturday, October 31, and I'll pick it up.
MATERIAL: 3/4" birch hardwood plywood (PureBond or similar)
CUT LIST:
- Top: 1 piece, 41" x 8"
- Sides: 2 pieces, 12" x 8"
- Back rail: 1 piece, 39-1/2" x 3"
ASSEMBLY:
- The top sits on the two sides. Overall size is 41" wide x 12-3/4" tall x 8" deep.
- The back rail fits between the sides, directly under the top, flush with the back edges.
- All joints glued and screwed, with pilot holes.
- Rubber pads under the sides.
FOR YOUR BID, I'D LOVE TWO PRICES:
1. Built as described, with materials included
2. Optional add-on: iron-on birch edge banding on the exposed front edges
If you can do it by Saturday, send me a reply with both prices. Thanks so much!
