Up for sale is an exceptionally clean, heavily upgraded vintage Steiner 220 articulated 2x4 FWD tractor. I am the second owner (Since 2000) of this machine. It has been garage-kept its entire life, strictly maintained, and kept on a NOCO Genius battery tender when not in use. Have all panels, removed for pictures. This is a premium turn-key package that comes complete with all original manuals. I can show service receipts from my local Steiner dealer.
It has been re-powered with a massive 35 HP motor and pairs with a nearly new 2023 commercial 72" deck. This machine is an absolute beast for all four seasons—I've personally run a 48" snowblower, rotary sweeper, and slip scoop bucket with excellent results. Selling only because I have transitioned to two newer Steiners and a mini track loader.
THE EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWN:
• Chassis: Steiner Model 220 (Serial: B1554) | 2,912 total frame hours.
• Engine: Repowered with a premium Subaru EH 90 35 HP power plant. Only 600 hours on this engine. Starts beautifully, idles smoothly, and has tons of torque.
• Mower Deck: Includes a pristine 2023 72" Steiner/Bobcat MD72 Front Mount Deck (Model: 75-70865A, Serial: 7570865A02109). Less than 200 hours on this deck.
• PTO Clutch: Upgraded to the heavy-duty PTO clutch system normally used on the larger Steiner 450 series to handle the high-horsepower engine.
• Added additional cooling Fan to engine cover to improve the airflow and longevity of the engine.
• Tires: Upgraded front Carlisle 24x12-12 tires and rims (sourced from a Steiner 235). Brand new rear Carlisle 215/60-8 turf tires.
OPTIONAL FRONT ATTACHMENT FOR SALE:
• 48" Steiner Slip Scoop Bucket – $1,300: I am offering a matching 48" hydraulic slip scoop bucket separately for $1,300. It mounts straight to the tractor's front hitch quick-attach and utilizes the auxiliary hydraulic couplers for effortless seat-operated lifting, scooping, and dumping. Perfect for landscaping, moving topsoil, gravel, or firewood. Priority goes to the tractor buyer, or I am willing to talk a package price for both if you come out to look at it.
