Krew Heavy Civil LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable CDL Truck Driver to support our heavy civil construction operations. This position is responsible for safely transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project sites. The ideal candidate will have construction-related driving experience, a strong safety record, and the flexibility to assist crews in the field when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely operate dump trucks, water trucks, tractor-trailers, and other company vehicles as assigned.
• Transport heavy equipment, construction materials, and supplies to and from project locations.
• Haul aggregate and other materials from local pits and suppliers to active job sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, load counts, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Maintain company vehicles in a clean and professional condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet company and insurance requirements.
• No DWI or DUI convictions within the past three years and no current DWI or DUI charges.
• Experience driving in winter conditions, mountainous terrain, and active construction environments.
• Ability to safely operate assigned trucks and properly secure transported loads.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Basic reading, writing, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and project personnel.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and participate in required random drug-testing programs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Tanker, Doubles, and/or Triples endorsements.
• Experience transporting heavy construction equipment.
• Previous heavy civil construction or aggregate-hauling experience.
• Mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify basic vehicle maintenance concerns.
• Experience operating dump trucks, water trucks, side dumps, lowboys, or similar construction vehicles.
