The Dometic CFX28 compressor fridge/freezer is a versatile 26-liter mobile cooling unit built for off-grid, marine, camping, residential, and vehicular use. Works on AC or DC. All necessary charging cables, etc. included. Small enough for a standalone refrigerator and/or freezer in a dorm-sized room.
The Jackery 1000 is the highly-rated Gen 1 / Version 1 “Explorer 1000” model. It is a portable Li-ion NMC power station with a 1,002Wh capacity and a 1,000W pure sine wave AC inverter. It can be charged via the supplied AC or DC power cords. (Solar is an available charging option, but no panels are included.) Also includes:
* Optional insulated cover
* Optional “jumper cables” to start dead automobiles
* Optional accessory DC cable
* Solar panel charge cable (no panels included)
We used this equipment with a teardrop trailer we no longer own. We also used the combo for car camping. This works great! Our car camping setup:
Run the Dometic directly off the Jackery.
Keep the Jackery fully charged via a 12-V “cigarette lighter” outlet in the vehicle.
In practice, this meant that we never had to worry about the status of the Jackery. Moving around every 2nd or 3rd day or so kept the Jackery topped off. We never had to buy ice! Depending on the weather and the temperature setting on the Dometic, the Jackery alone will power the Dometic for 3+ days or so.
No shipping or delivery is possible; I prefer to meet at the Whole Foods in Ridgewood Shopping Center (Wade Avenue location) for payment and delivery.
