Beautiful Handmade and Hand Painted blanket chest, solid pine 20th cen - $465 (Raleigh)

The chest is solid wood and constructed of pine.
The outside has 4 houses painted on them from the person's child hood and growing up. They were the four houses their family lived in over the course of their parent's lives.
The background is a cinnabar red with gold accents. The houses are painted well in shades of grey.
The top of the chest reads:
"Four of the Most Beautiful houses I ever knew were so because of the love of The Mother and Father who lived in them."
The chest is done in a colonial style 1700s. I believe the chest to be 20th century, no later than circa 1970s.
The piece is very well done, one of a kind and a wonderful decorator piece to your home.
There is some flaking of the paint on the top here and there, but all in all is in good condition.

The top leans back and has a catch chain.
