2006 VW Jetta 2.5L L5 gas fuel injected
Not too bad mechanically.
Cosmetically?- ok maybe a bit rough looking with the "crunch" front driver side.
Runs and operates just fine. Under 128K on milage.
Clean title in hand.
No real concerning mechanical issues i am aware of other than below:
*Fuel tank sending unit quirky. We replaced it once but it's failed again. Anything below half tank shows you are empty. so keep it half tank or more and you are good.
*Front Driver side outer CV boot is ripped and grease is coming out of boot. Still sounds good not cracking or popping so maybe a new boot might be enough?
Cosmetic issues:
*Crunch on the front driver side as seen in pictures. We've been driving as is for 2 years like this with it. Didn't want to spend the $ to fix it.
*Interior shows wear as expected for a 20 year old car.
*Paint.. well its still there and looks decent.
We purchased the car for our Daughter at roughly 76K on the odometer a few years ago.. She's has been driving this car for years back and forth from Raleigh to Greensboro. We had an opportunity to upgrade her to something newer. This car is great for around town. Would I drive it to Florida from Raleigh??? ...yes but only if i got the CV joints replaced or boots fixed. Other than that i would make that trip!
