Really need a mini-skid with bucket.
This is what I have to offer.
94 Chevy Cheyenne 2500.
Stahl Utility bed with key. Missing one door.
5.7l 350 190,000 miles, very good engine.
Transmission rebuilt with larger pump added. Less than 300 miles.
New Alternator, less than 100 miles.
I believe at this point it needs a computer.
I paid a mobile mechanic to come out and replace the ignition starter switch, located on top of the steering column under the dash.
He came out, as I was in Canon City at the time. He took the steering wheel off, took $200 for parts, and never came back.
I eventually did drop the column, and was able to successfully install the new Ignition Starter Switch.
This did add power to the gages, but they weren't acting normally.
I had an electrical issue, the two starter wires going to the solenoid right under the steering wheel and dash started smoking.
I separated them taped them let them cool down, then the truck started again.
It started a few more times until I got home. Then replaced both wires, and the truck would get power at all.
At this point I called a mobile mechanic off Craigslist as I thought it would be the fastest. It was my work truck, I needed it fixed fast.
The steering wheel is currently off. I have it and all the components, but I do not have the tools to take it off or put it on.
I put brand new Alternator in it not e en 100 miles before this happened.
The transmission went out less than 300 miles, I have the paperwork.
The mechanic put in a larger pump, as the transmission in the truck is known for what happened.
Also, if you tow with that transmission, put it in drive not overdrive.
I was told this may have prevented the problem in the first place.
It is a work truck.
It has captain chairs and a console.
The drivers side door insides and panel are missing.
It opens and closes fine but I keep the window up with a stick.
Will need towed or trailered.
I was able to get everything to work individually by adding power to every fuse individually. Also some of the fuse box never lost power, leading the mechanic to think it was the Ignition Starter Switch.
Also have a little 4X8 trailer with new tires.
Can also throw in some cash.
