A well-established local construction company providing contracting, engineering, and forestry support services is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator & Foreman/Supervisor to join our team.
We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals with strong leadership skills and proven experience operating heavy equipment and supervising construction, forestry, or heavy civil projects. The ideal candidates must be able to work independently, lead a crew, communicate effectively, and take responsibility for the safe and efficient completion of field operations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Operate heavy construction, excavation, and forestry equipment safely and efficiently
Experience operating excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, end dumps, water tenders, and other heavy equipment
Experience operating low-bed trailers and transporting heavy equipment
Experience with manual transmissions
Experience in construction, heavy civil, logging, forestry, or related industries
Ability to work in remote and demanding field conditions
Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems in the field
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and equipment issues
Supervise and direct field crews and equipment operators
Coordinate daily work activities and ensure work is completed according to project requirements and schedules
Read and understand plans, specifications, site layouts, and work instructions
Communicate effectively with project managers, crew members, subcontractors, and customers
Monitor jobsite safety and ensure employees follow company and OSHA safety requirements
Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record preferred/required for applicable driving duties
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Leadership and supervisory experience are required. Candidates without prior foreman/supervisory experience will not be considered for the Foreman/Supervisor position.
