from the late 1930s (made between 1937 and 1939), a dinette set from Heywood Wakefield's "Streamline Modern" line. four chairs (including one armchair) and matching table, with original leaves. Solid maple.
table: 32w X 49l X 29h, plus two 10" leaves to extend the table
chairs: 22d X 18w X 33h (three of these)
armchair: 22d X 23w X 33h
this set was designed by Gilbert Rhode, the first design director for Herman Miller, and the person that got Miller to turn to modernism. It's a rare minimalist art deco set that is prescient about midcentury modern design forms and ideas. The chairs for this set are in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilbert_Rohde
it's not in perfect condition: there are a few small chips to the finish on the top of the table, and the table legs need to be re-anchored. the armchair needs to be tightened but is sittable. the other chairs are fine. upholstery is not original, of course.
