CDL Mechanic needed for Semi/Volumetric Driver for a Concrete Truck Company
Delivery to Prescott and Prescott Valley area
We’re searching for a licensed CDL Driver who will be responsible for delivering slurry to various types of jobs. If no experience with Volumetric Concrete Trucks training will be available at time of hire and paid throughout training process. You’ll be responsible for driving and servicing the vehicles allocated to you and collaborating with our dispatchers to plan routes and track deliveries.
It is necessary to have a CDL. Be able to drive an Automatic and Manual Transmission. Candidates must have a clean driving record and pass a drug and alcohol test to be considered.
Current Position is currently in the Prescott, AZ area. You will be home each night and an occasional Saturday when needed. Excellent Pay. Benefits are offered, Paid weekly.
Truck Driver Responsibilities:
- Be able to operate heavy equipment, such as a Loader to fill the concrete trucks with sand, gravel and concrete in the proper bins in the truck.
- Know and understand the different parts of the volumetric bins on the truck.
- Be able to learn and operate the Kelly drive system on the truck.
- Be able to learn the controls of the truck to pour the correct mix.
- Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer.
- Deliver, mix and pour on-demand quality concrete.
- Clean the truck after each pour.
- Be teachable, be able to learn the process and to calibrate the trucks to certain designs; will be trained on how these trucks run.
- Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection
- Maintenance and upkeep of the yard.
- Refuel and clean the vehicle.
- Report any accidents on the route to the dispatcher.
- Follow the rules of the road.
- Examine vehicles, keep track and report any defects.
- Adhere to the accident protocols.
- Keep track of your activities and hours.
- Maintenance professionals should be notified of any mechanical issues.
- Plan routes by using a GPS device.
- Great communication between coworkers.
Good judgement regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site.
Deliver the items on schedule to the customer.
Maintain a cheerful attitude when dealing with clients.
Maintain a current commercial driver’s license.
Truck Driver Requirements:
A commercial driver’s license is sometimes known as a CDL.
A drug and alcohol test must be passed.
A clean driving record is required.
A current MVR must be provided.
A medical certificate is required.
A high school diploma is required.
