Shift: Monday - Thursday 7am-3pm $17.00 Hourly
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and safety-focused Community Integration to support adults diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role is responsible for safely transporting individuals to and from meaningful community activities, but not limited to (Bowling, Library, World of coke, Nursing home etc.), and programs while promoting independence, dignity, inclusion, and daily living support.
The ideal candidate is patient, empathetic, and comfortable driving a 15-passenger van while working closely with individuals in a supportive and respectful environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Safely transport individuals to and from community activities, and programs
• Promote independence, community involvement, and social engagement
• Provide advocacy, communication, and emotional support with patience and professionalism
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment
• Support individuals with daily living and community integration activities
• Encourage skill-building, learning, and positive social interaction
• Complete required documentation including daily notes, incident reports, and behavioral observations
• Address individuals’ needs with respect, compassion, and attention to safety
• Follow all transportation safety procedures and agency policies
• Communicate effectively with staff, families, and community partners
Qualifications
• Previous caregiving or direct support experience preferred but not required
• Training will be provided
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable driving a 15-passenger van
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Clean 7-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• CPI certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Valid driver’s license required
