I’m an established handyman/carpenter in the Hudson Valley with more work coming in than I can personally handle. I’m looking for another experienced handyman or carpenter who is already doing this type of work independently and wants an additional 2–3 days of work most weeks.
This is subcontract work, not an entry-level position. I’ll feed you jobs and projects that you can handle independently.
Typical work includes:
- Interior and exterior carpentry
- Trim, doors, window sills and wood repair
- Drywall and patching
- Small flooring jobs
- Railings, porches and exterior repairs
- Painting and miscellaneous repairs
- General residential handyman projects
I’m looking for someone who:
- Has solid residential repair/carpentry experience
- Has their own tools and transportation
- Can work independently without being babysat
- Communicates well with both me and customers
- Shows up when they say they will
- Keeps a clean, professional job site
- Carries their own liability insurance
- Is comfortable taking a project from start to finish
Ideally, you already have your own handyman/carpentry business and customer base but have room in your schedule for another 2–3 days of steady work per week.
I handle finding the customers and feeding you projects. I’m looking for someone I can develop a long-term working relationship with — someone I can confidently send to a customer's house knowing the job will be handled properly.
Pay is based on experience and the type of project. We can structure work hourly, daily or by the job depending on what makes sense.
Most work is in the Poughkeepsie / Dutchess County area.
