Role Purpose:
In this role, you will prepare surfaces, mix coatings, apply paint, and inspect finished products to ensure high quality results. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a manufacturing or fabrication setting, can follow blueprints and work instructions, and takes pride in safe, detailed work.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, degreasing, body filling, and media blasting
-Mix paints and primers to match job specifications
-Apply paint using spray equipment and proper techniques to achieve a clean, high quality finish
-Inspect finished work to confirm it meets quality standards and customer requirements
-Read and follow blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications
-Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-Communicate with leads and quality control to support production timelines
Qualifications:
-Minimum 1 to 3 years of industrial painting or paint prep experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
-Comfortable working at heights and in variable temperature environments
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Ability to bend, twist, lift, stand, and work on your feet for long periods
-Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment
-Experience with spray booths, surface prep, fabrication, powder coating, auto body, welding environments, or detailing is a plus
Pay: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
Available Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM - 4x10's!
