I am looking for a solid drummer and bassist first to build the core foundation
The Blueprint: I know exactly which local venues to target for this specific style, and we have solid performance spaces located very close by. The roadmap to getting on stage is mapped out.
The Setup: I have access to J&L Recording Studio, which is within biking distance of my place. We will use this space as our operational base for tight rehearsals, tracking, and polishing the arrangements.
The Motivation: This is for players who are specifically driven by the goal of getting out of the rehearsal room and onto paying stages.
What is required:
Drummer: Total dynamic control. A human drum machine who can stay locked in a hypnotic indie/funk loop for five minutes and lay down explosive fills when the music demands it.
Bassist: Must handle syncopated funk lines and melodic runs while keeping the low-end completely welded to the kick drum.
Mindset: Pro-level music athletes, reliable gear, and a desire to build musical chemistry and lock down these local rooms.
