Superior Skilled Trades is hiring an Inventory Specialist in Brownsville, TX, for immediate hire.
· PAY: $20-$24/hr. (based upon experience)
· HOURS: Available shifts include 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
· SCHEDULE: 12-hour shifts; overtime and weekends may be required based on project needs
· START DATE: Immediate
.DURATION: Temporary to Permanent
Job Description:
The Inventory Specialist will receive, store, issue, and track raw materials, parts, hardware, and components supporting shop operations. This position will be responsible for inventory organization, material kitting, receiving verification, cycle counts, lot traceability, shelf-life control, and maintaining accurate inventory records while following strict material handling and traceability procedures.
Qualifications for INVENTORY SPECIALIST:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 1+ year of inventory control experience
· Experience receiving, storing, picking, and issuing materials and parts
· Experience with inventory control, kitting, cycle counts, and lot traceability
· Ability to verify part numbers, quantities, revisions, paperwork, and material condition
· Experience operating a forklift and other inventory equipment preferred
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
· ERP system experience such as SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred
· Aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronics industry experience preferred
· Must be able to safely use inventory equipment and PPE
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted
· Must be able to perform job duties requiring standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and carrying
· Must be comfortable working in temperatures above 80°F for periods of time
Additional Requirements for INVENTORY SPECIALIST:
· Must be available to work either 1st shift (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) or 3rd shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)
· Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed to meet critical project deadlines
· Must maintain accurate inventory, material identification, and traceability
· Must maintain a clean and organized work area
· Must follow all procedures, desk instructions, and standard operating documents
· Must be able to pass a background check
