This little black hunk is ready for whatever you may want to do, or go wherever you may want to go with him.
Although he’s short, he’s thick and takes up the leg.
(Guy riding bareback is 6’4”.)
He is around 12 years old.
Stands around 14/14.1 hands.
(Will need to tape him.)
And he is thick.
Ask me his breed, and I’ll tell you Heinz 57.
One person said he looks Friesian cross.
One person said he looks Andalusuan cross.
One person said he looks Mustang cross.
Pretty sure he isn’t mustang.
But haven’t DNA’d him yet to find out.
Will be getting him DNA’d soon.
If I was to guess, by the way he moves and how he looks, I’d say Friesian cross.
But no matter what he is breed wise, I can tell you riding wise, he’s a great horse.
And he pretty to look at too.
He is well broke.
Neck reins.
Moves off the leg.
(Although he can be lazy about it.)
Pretty sure this guy was cowboyed on previously, as he doesn’t seem to know what being “friends” is.
He’s learning about treats and that not every human interaction means he’s getting pulled out and worked.
Can be hard to catch in a big pasture.
Still a little shy when you go in his pen.
Doesn’t kick or bite.
Just shys away at first.
But he does warm up easily.
Once this guy trusts you, he will do anything asked of him. And more.
He can be led around by novice kids.
He’s very respectful of your space.
Has been ridden by true beginners around the property.
But would recommend intermediate riders on up, when out on the trails.
Ask him for speed and he will give it.
But he’s also happy just walk around.
With more fine-tuning, he could probably turn a barrel.
He really is a great all around horse.
No buck or rear to him.
Doesn’t bite.
Not aggressive in any way.
Wants to be friends and is slowly learning to enjoy people.
I find he prefers a side pull or halter over a bit.
He can get “sticky feet” when I use a bit.
Meaning he doesn’t want to move.
But if I throw a halter on him, you can jump on him bareback and ride him around easily.
Tacks up nicely.
Stands tied patiently.
Loads and hauls.
Has front shoes on right now.
But can go barefoot.
Sound and healthy and ready to hop in your trailer.
Come meet him and take him for a ride.
Only asking $7500 for him at this time.
