About the Opportunity:
Put your stainless-steel skills to work on the trains that move people. Acara is looking for experienced welders who know MIG and TIG inside and out and can pick up a blueprint and weld procedure and run with it. You'll do precision structural welding on rail vehicles, work directly with Engineering and Quality, and help shape how new processes get built.
What You'll Do:
Perform structural welding on rail vehicles, with a focus on stainless steel, using GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG)
Read and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and welding procedure specifications (WPS), following the correct weld sequence
Set up jigs and fixtures, and set up, verify, and adjust your welding equipment
Operate resistance spot welders
Inspect arc and spot welds against acceptance criteria and take dimensional measurements to confirm they meet spec
Use grinding, cutting, burning, and other hand and power tools safely
Work with Supervision, Engineering, and Quality when design or material changes come up
Help troubleshoot products and develop new processes
Use digital tools as part of your daily work
Keep a clean, safe work area and follow our customer's Zero Deviation Procedures and EHS guidelines
