Schedule
Normal hours are 6:00 AM–2:40 PM (8 hours). Depending on production needs, the shift may extend to:
6:00 AM–4:40 PM (10 hours)
6:00 AM–6:40 PM (12 hours)
Occasional Saturdays may be required.
REQUIRED TOOLS
Candidates must have their own tools, including:
Wrenches
Cordless drill
Socket set
Ratchet set
Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling industrial machines and equipment according to engineering specifications. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience using hand and power tools, and the ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
Assemble industrial machines and mechanical components.
Follow blueprints, schematics, drawings, and engineering specifications.
Use hand and power tools to complete daily assembly work.
Install and build machine components and new equipment.
Make basic modifications and adjustments as directed by management or engineering.
Inspect completed work to make sure equipment is assembled correctly.
Operate lifts and assist with moving parts and materials.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Assist other departments with equipment assembly when needed.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow all company safety and production procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous mechanical assembly, machine building, automotive, maintenance, construction, or similar hands-on mechanical experience preferred.
Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with tools.
Experience using wrenches, drills, sockets, ratchets, and other hand/power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be flexible to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts depending on production needs.
Must be available for occasional Saturday overtime.
Must be bilingual and fluent in Spanish.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
