## Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and support a manufacturing facility in Plano, TX.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance. This position requires someone who can work independently, troubleshoot problems, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with manufacturing equipment repairs.
## Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Assist production teams and engineers with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain and repair building interiors and exteriors, including painting, patching, doors, windows, and hardware.
- Conduct daily facility and grounds inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Monitor building systems and respond to equipment alarms or facility emergencies.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for building systems, including rooftop HVAC units (RTUs).
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, equipment records, and inspection reports.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
- Follow OSHA safety standards and assist with safety drills, procedures, and training.
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs outside regular working hours when necessary.
## Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- **EPA HVAC certification required.**
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work instructions.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and measuring equipment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
- Availability to respond to occasional after-hours maintenance emergencies.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or industrial facilities.
- Experience assisting with manufacturing equipment maintenance.
- Carpentry or welding skills.
- Forklift certification or experience.
- Familiarity with building automation systems.
## Compensation and Schedule
**Pay:** $30.00–$34.00 per hour
**Hours:** Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
**Location:** Plano, TX 75074
**Employment:** Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire (approximately 3 months)
