It is designed to assist in supplying additional vacuum to a vehicle brake booster
Many vehicles with big modified engines do not produce enough vacuum to assist the brakes.
This pump will do that automatically
It is a plug and play system
Mount the pump, connect the vacuum line into the brake system, connect the wires.
When the vacuum drops below 18" the pump will turn on. When the vacuum goes above 24" it turns off.
I bought this to chase down a brake problem. It helped me identify the problem.
