A Golf Range Maintenance Attendant maintains the driving range turf, collects and cleans golf balls, maintains the miniature golf course and operates groundskeeping equipment to keep the facility safe and clean. The Golf Range Maintenance Attendant reports to the Golf Range Maintenance Supervisor. They perform manual labor and equipment operations to ensure a functional, clean, and aesthetically pleasing practice facility for all Cool Springs Customers.
Essential Job Duties:
• Ball Collection - Operate mechanical range pickers or utility carts to gather golf balls from the landing field safely and on schedule. Perform manual retrieval in perimeter areas, roughs, or natural barriers as needed.
• Processing and Maintenance - Load, transport, wash, and sort recovered golf balls. Inspect balls for structural damage, discarding split or unplayable units.
• Inventory Management - Restock ball dispensers, storage bins, and practice tee areas to ensure a continuous supply for patrons.
• Safety and Upkeep - Adhere to all range safety protocols while active on the field. Monitor machinery performance, clear debris from the hitting zone, and report equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Complete light landscaping (basic routine property upkeep and minor aesthetic care) including but not limited to:
o Weed control: Pulling weeds around hitting bays, fences, signate and flower beds
o Basic Mowing: Handle detail or push-mowing in identified areas on the range that Woehler Landscaping is not contracted to maintain
o Weed whacking: Precision trimming, cutting down tall grass and weeds in areas identified on the range utilizing the appropriate equipment.
• Site Clean-Up - Raking leaves, clearing fallen twigs, and sweeping hard surfaces to keep the work area tidy.
• Maintaining Mini Golf Area - Keeping the Course, surrounding areas, and equipment clean, organized and free of debris.
• Parking Lot Cleanup - Removing litter and debris, maintaining cleanliness around parking areas, and addressing spills or other minor cleanup needs.
• Trash Removal - Collecting and removing trash from designated areas, emptying and replacing trash receptacles, transporting waste to the appropriate disposal area, and maintaining cleanliness around dumpsters and collection points.
• Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical Demands:
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended shifts in varying weather conditions.
• Heavy Lifting: Frequently lift, load, and carry heavy baskets or buckets of golf balls (up to 45 lbs).
• Safety Awareness: Strong situational awareness to navigate around active hitting bays and equipment safely.
• Licensing: Valid driver's license may be required for operating motorized range vehicles.
• Weather Tolerance: Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Tool Operation: Safe handling of basic tools like string trimmers, lawnmowers, weed whacker, and hand shears.
Requirements:
• Experience in maintenance, landscaping, or golf operations is a plus, but not required.
Hours:
• Morning shift: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM
• Weekend and Holiday availability may be required
