Job Title: Landscape Technician / Crew Leader
Growing Pittsburgh-based landscaping and property maintenance company looking to hire a couple of experienced, dependable individuals to join our team.
We offer year-round employment, including landscaping, landscape construction, property maintenance, and winter snow and ice management.
Our shop is located in Lawrenceville, Pittsburgh. We're looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work, have a strong work ethic, and want to grow with our company.
What You'll Be Doing
-Landscaping & Property Maintenance
-Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing
-Mulch installation and landscape bed maintenance
-Shrub and hedge trimming
-Spring and fall property cleanups
-Planting, seeding, sod installation, and lawn renovations
-Operating commercial landscaping equipment
-Landscape Construction & General Property Work
-Paver patios, walkways, and retaining walls
-Drainage installations and grading
-Fence installation and general property improvements
-Operating skid steers, compact equipment, and trailers
-Assisting with handyman and construction-related projects
-Winter Snow & Ice Management
-Commercial and residential snow removal
-Snow plowing using trucks and snow removal equipment
-Sidewalk, walkway, and stairway snow clearing
-Operating snowblowers, salt spreaders, and other winter equipment
-Applying rock salt and ice-melting products
-Winter property maintenance and cleanup
-Responding to snow and ice events, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Winter availability is important. Snow removal requires flexibility, dependability, and a willingness to work outside normal business hours during storms.
What We're Looking For
-Previous professional landscaping or construction experience
-Strong work ethic and positive attitude
-Dependable and punctual
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
-Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
-Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
-Interest in long-term employment and advancement
-Experience Preferred
-Commercial mowing and landscaping equipment
-Hardscaping, retaining walls, pavers, and drainage
-Snow plowing and snow removal equipment
-Skid steer and compact equipment operation
-Construction or handyman experience
-Experience supervising or leading a crew is a major plus
-Equipment maintenance and small engine repair experience
Requirements
-Valid driver's license (required – non-negotiable)
-Reliable transportation to our Lawrenceville shop
-Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
-Ability to work safely and efficiently
-Availability for winter snow and ice events, including nights and weekends when needed
Bonus Points If You Have
-Experience driving trucks with trailers
-Snow plowing experience
-Experience managing a landscaping or snow removal crew
-Your own basic hand tools
-Mechanical or equipment repair knowledge
-Ability to work independently without constant supervision
