This vintage Nova Tech Pilot II is 4 band portable radio with built in RDF (Radio Direction Finder – in the days before GPS this is what airplanes and ships used for navigation).Vintage U.S.A. Nova Tech Pilot II four-band direction finding aircraft portable twelve-transistor radio. You can take this radio anywhere. It runs on four "AA" batteries (not included). This radio works good on all four bands: AM 550 Khz to 1.6 Mhz, Marine (SW) 1.6 Mhz to 4.5 Mhz (SW nite time band), Aircraft 110 Mhz to 135 Mhz, and Beacon 190 to 400 LF. All controls work smoothly, and function properly. There are no cracks, chips, or dents. Radio comes with nice leather case in great shape, and VHF antenna with no dents, or bends.
