Small neighborhood liquor store looking for a part time retail clerk. Customer service is very important to us. Applicant needs to be friendly and polite. No alcohol retail experience is needed but is a bonus. Reliability and honesty are a must.
Responsibilities
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining an attractive store presentation.
• Picking and packing Uber Eats and Door Dash orders for pick up.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed.
• Performing necessary activities to close the store at night.
Requirements
• Prior experience in retail sales or liquor store environments is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key!
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations to ensure efficient checkout processes.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
• Bilingual abilities are a bonus.
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising standards, and liquor store operations enhances your effectiveness in this role.
• Ability to perform stocking duties, light cleaning, and uphold excellent cashiering practices consistently.
