Southwestern designed Sterling Silver and real Agatized Dinosaur Bone Bolo tie. It is stamped "JC Navajo Sterling" on the back side. It is a wonderfully crafted bolo tie with intricate sterling silver work and a large oval piece of real dinosaur bone that has been naturally agatized. Agatized dinosaur bone is a fossilized dinosaur bone that has been replaced by silica minerals, typically microcrystalline quartz crystals, through a process called permineralization. Due to the specific conditions required for their formation, agatized dinosaur bones, also known as gembones or dinogems, are much rarer than regular fossils.
Every time I wore this bolo tie, I would get lots of attention and people asking about it. As I have gotten older, I simply do not really go anywhere that I would be able to wear it so I think it is time to sell.
Sterling silver bolos this size and quality are being sold in the 1200 - 1300 dollar range. I have reduced the price of this VERY unique and classy bolo to only 785.00!
