Security Technician (BICSI Certified) Phoenix Metro Area, AZ
$30-$40/hr DOE
We are seeking an experienced BICSI-Certified Security Technician to join a growing low-voltage team supporting commercial and industrial projects throughout the Phoenix area.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting security and structured cabling systems in commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
• Install and service CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and low-voltage systems
• Pull, route, label, and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling
• Install cable trays, J-hooks, ladder rack, and pathway systems
• Perform testing and certification of copper and fiber cabling
• Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and construction drawings
• Troubleshoot network and security system issues
• Maintain BICSI and industry installation standards
Requirements:
• Active BICSI Certification (Installer 1, Installer 2, Technician, or higher)
• 2+ years of commercial low-voltage or security installation experience
• Experience with CCTV and Access Control systems
• Strong structured cabling and fiber knowledge
• Ability to work from lifts and ladders
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass background screening
Preferred:
• Intel, data center, semiconductor, or large commercial project experience
• Fiber certification
• Lift certifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
