Overwatch Technologies is contracting a field service technician in
Albuquerque for ongoing service and upkeep of solar-powered security
camera systems at commercial sites across the metro.
Eight active sites today. More installs expected as contracts close.
This is recurring work, not a one-off.
THE WORK
- Diagnose and repair IP cameras on standalone solar/battery units
- IP camera back-end configuration - static IPs, subnetting,
discovery when a camera isn't reachable
- LTE router back-end work, antenna service, SIM swaps
- Rooftop access - most work is done off a ladder
- Camera aiming, focus, day/night mode and sensitivity settings
- Solar panel and battery DC troubleshooting
- Cat6 termination and cable repair
- New installs and equipment removal as needed
- Photos and a short written report on every call
WHAT YOU NEED
- Reliable vehicle
- 20-25 ft ladder, and you're comfortable working off it on a rooftop
- Windows laptop with a hardwired ethernet port
- Hand tools, meter, crimper
- Able to terminate Cat6 clean
- Working knowledge of IP camera and LTE router back ends. If you're
solid on networking but new to our specific gear, we'll get you up
to speed - our SOC is on the phone with you while you're on site.
- Comfortable working alone at unoccupied commercial properties
- Reliable phone and same-day response on dispatches
PAY
Starts at $35/hr, 1099, for a tech who meets the requirements above
and can run a site call independently.
Job completion bonuses available on top of the hourly.
