⚠️ SCAM ALERT – Same guy is back asking for Zelle “holds” (Phoenix)

He’s listing items in the free section (right now a couch, vanity, and dressers) and saying everything in the photos is free.
Then he tells you other people are interested and offers to “hold” it if you Zelle a small amount (last time it was $5). His story is that the money has to go to his daughter’s Zelle account because he doesn’t have Zelle himself. After that he sends an address — usually an apartment or condo complex.
When you show up, there’s nothing there. You end up walking around the complex looking for it, and no one knows what you’re talking about. He takes the money and disappears. He seems to deliberately pick apartments so people waste time searching.
It’s a small amount on purpose so people don’t think twice — especially since the items are advertised as free. Please don’t send any money to “hold” free or local items. If it’s truly free and local, you should be able to pick it up without paying anything upfront.
Stay safe and share so others don’t get scammed.
