We’re I-CAR Gold Class Certified and approved through manufacturer collision repair programs for Ford, General Motors, Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, FIAT and RAM vehicles. We do things the right way, and we want someone who takes pride in clean, detailed prep work.
This is a great chance for someone who wants to learn from experienced painters and grow into a painter role.
Pay: Hourly, DOE. Steady, full-time work with plenty of cars coming through the door.
Responsibilities:
Sand, scuff, and featheredge panels to get them ready for primer and paint
Mask and tape vehicles accurately to protect areas that aren’t being painted
Apply and block-sand primer as directed by the painter
Clean and degrease surfaces before paint
Remove and reinstall trim, moldings, emblems, and small parts as needed
De-mask, wet-sand, buff, and polish after refinish
Keep the paint booth, prep station, and mixing area clean and organized
Help the painter with daily tasks so jobs keep moving on schedule
Requirements:
Prior body shop or paint prep experience preferred
Basic knowledge of sanding, masking, and surface prep
Strong attention to detail. Clean prep means a clean paint job
Able to follow directions and work well with the painter and team
Willing to wear a respirator and follow all shop safety rules
Able to stand, bend, and lift parts throughout the day in a high-volume shop
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Shows up on time and has a strong work ethic
Basic hand tools a plus
