Adrar Transit LLC is seeking an experienced, hands-on NEMT Startup Operations Manager/Driver to launch and manage our transportation operations. The company will provide ambulatory and wheelchair transportation, with plans to add stretcher services.
During the startup period, the manager must also be willing to drive until additional drivers are hired.
Key Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement the NEMT startup plan.
-Manage credentialing and contracting with transportation brokers, AHCCCS health plans, healthcare facilities, and private-pay clients.
-Establish dispatching, scheduling, billing, safety, and compliance procedures.
-Build relationships with hospitals, dialysis centers, rehabilitation facilities, senior communities, and group homes.
-Drive ambulatory and wheelchair passengers during the startup period.
-Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise drivers.
-Manage fleet maintenance, inspections, insurance, and compliance.
-Monitor trip volume, revenue, expenses, billing, and customer service.
-Provide weekly progress reports to the owner.
Qualifications:
-At least three years of NEMT operations, management, credentialing, dispatching, or fleet-management experience.
-Experience launching, managing, or expanding an NEMT business.
-Knowledge of Arizona NEMT and transportation-broker requirements.
-Experience with ambulatory and wheelchair transportation.
-Familiarity with MTM, Modivcare, Access2Care, Verida, or similar networks is preferred.
-Valid Arizona driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
-Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
-CPR, First Aid, defensive-driving, passenger-assistance, and wheelchair-securement certifications—or willingness to obtain them.
-Strong leadership, communication, organization, and computer skills.
