-Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled operator to manage microtrenching equipment for the installation of fiber optic or utility conduits. The primary responsibility is to operate specialized machinery to cut narrow, shallow trenches in paved surfaces with precision and efficiency.
-Key Responsibilities:
* Operate microtrenching saws and associated equipment according to safety protocols.
* Perform site preparation, including marking utilities and managing traffic control zones.
* Execute clean cuts in asphalt or concrete surfaces as per project specifications.
* Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
* Coordinate with the ground crew to ensure conduit placement meets depth and alignment requirements.
* Maintain an organized and safe job site, ensuring all debris is cleared upon task completion.
-Qualifications:
* Proven experience operating micro trenching equipment.
* Ability to interpret construction site blueprints and utility maps.
* Understanding of underground utility safety standards and damage prevention.
* Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
* Capability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
