Up for your consideration is a used 1996? Isuzu four cylinder turbo diesel engine (4BD2T) from a NPR box truck. It is being sold for parts or rebuild only. The pistons have surface cracks. There is a lot of useful stuff there including a $800 Zexel injection pump, block, crank, heads, water pump, turbo and tons more in a crate. Rebuild kits are not that expensive for this engine if you want to go that route. These are great little engines for many different projects. About 135 to 150hp, smooth, balanced and long lasting, 400,000 mile work horses ... unless you abuse the crap out of them and run at higher that acceptable EGT"s like this one was.
Hopefully, you have an engine hoist for recovery as it's kinda heavy. I'll help, but I'm no spring chicken.
