Job Description
VAM Construction & Remodeling is hiring an experienced Remodeling & Construction Technician to join our team. We are looking for an honest, dependable individual who takes pride in their work and can complete remodeling and construction tasks with minimal supervision. Previous hands-on experience is required.
Responsibilities
Perform remodeling and construction work in the following areas, based on experience and assigned duties:
• Carpentry, including framing, trim, cabinets, and doors
• Drywall installation and repair
• Painting and finishing
• Flooring installation, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl
• Demolition and job site preparation
• Plumbing fixtures, drains, and minor repairs
• Electrical outlets, switches, and lighting
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Use a smartphone to clock in and out and upload job photos to company files when needed
Qualifications and Requirements
• Previous remodeling or construction experience and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal supervision
• Honest, punctual, dependable, and committed to a full-time schedule
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good customer service skills and professionalism when working in clients’ homes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must provide your own tools to perform assigned remodeling and construction work
• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned job sites
• Must have a smartphone and be able to use company apps to clock in and out and upload job photos when needed
• Must pass a background check
• Random drug testing will be conducted during employment
• Physically able to perform construction work
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
