My name is Marcus, and I’m a hardworking guy who’s found himself in a tough situation. About a month ago, my truck was totaled. I live in Yucca, Arizona, and commute nearly two hours each way to Scottsdale for work 4–5 days a week. My vehicle wasn’t just transportation—it was my work truck. I use it to haul tools, equipment, and trees between job sites, so having reliable transportation is essential to keeping my business going.
Before my truck was totaled, I faithfully made $600 payments every two weeks on a buy-here-pay-here truck for over a year, only to find out none of those payments helped build my credit. Since then, I’ve spent the last week getting my hopes up at dealership after dealership, hearing, “You’re approved,” “No credit check,” and “You’ll drive home today,” only for it to end the same way every time. It’s been frustrating and discouraging.
I’m not looking for a handout. I work hard, make good money, and I’m simply looking for someone willing to give me a chance. I have around $2,000 available to put down immediately and would gladly make agreed-upon payments directly to the owner. If someone needs labor or services in exchange for a vehicle, I’m open to that as well. I believe in honoring my word and standing behind every agreement I make.
Ideally, I’m looking for a dependable truck with under 100,000 miles because of the long commute and the demands of my work, but at this point I’m open to discussing any reliable vehicle that could help me stay on the road. We’ve been renting a truck to keep business going, but that’s only a temporary solution.
I know trust isn’t built overnight, and a handshake doesn’t carry the same weight it once did. All I can offer is honesty, hard work, and the promise that I’ll do exactly what I say I will.
