This King hand-forged solid wrought iron bed headboard is in a refined Spanish Colonial Revival / Mediterranean / Spanish Colonial Revival style, consisting of a substantial upholstered headboard. This headboard features a rectangular upholstered panel covered in a finely textured neutral striped fabric bordered by individually applied antique brass nailhead trim. The reverse retains a complementary woven plaid upholstery. The folding metal bed base is included (see pic below).
The solid wrought iron frame is fabricated from heavy forged iron with turned and faceted posts terminating in large decorative spherical finials. The upper rail incorporates chisled and hammered forged iron sections separated by turned collars, while the lower rail repeats the same decorative motif. Massive forged mounting brackets support the steel base frame (not included). This spectacular king bed headboard has four wall mount integrated brackets for stability and flexibility in your choice of bed frame or base style.
The workmanship is superior to mass-produced furniture, exhibiting forged construction, individually formed decorative elements, and architectural-scale proportions. Original Purchase Price was $4,400.
