Improve your swing tempo, rhythm, and feel with the KC Golf Deluxe Golf Whip, a modern take on a classic golf training aid inspired by the teachings of legendary golf instructor Wild Bill Mehlhorn.
A Classic Training Method, Updated for Today’s Golfer
The grass whip has a long history in golf instruction. Legendary instructor Harvey Penick discussed its benefits in Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, describing how swinging a weed cutter can help golfers develop a natural, powerful motion through the hitting area.
Wild Bill Mehlhorn also used the grass whip as a golf training tool, helping golfers develop the feel of a proper swing through repeated, rhythmic movements.
The KC Golf Deluxe Golf Whip brings this traditional training method into the modern era with quality materials and golf-specific design.

Why Practice with a Golf Whip?
The grass whip is designed to help golfers develop a more natural swinging motion through rhythm, balance, and a better feel for releasing the club through the hitting area.
It offers a different approach to practice, allowing golfers to work on their swing motion without hitting golf balls. With regular practice, it can help reinforce the feel of swinging freely through the target area.
Associated with Wisdom in Golf
Golf instructor Shawn Clement, founder of Wisdom in Golf, has featured grass-whip training in instructional content. His teaching emphasizes a natural, fluid golf swing rather than forcing individual body positions.
The KC Golf Grass Whip website also features historical material and instructional videos related to Wild Bill Mehlhorn and the grass whip’s place in golf instruction.
A great training aid for golfers who appreciate traditional golf wisdom and want to develop a smoother, more natural swing.
Whether you’re an experienced golfer looking to refine your tempo or a student of the game interested in classic training methods, the KC Golf Deluxe Golf Whip is a unique addition to your practice routine.

* Other golf figures: The KC Grass Whip website features videos involving golf instructor Bobby Shave, professional golfer Tom Kite, and material related to Mehlhorn and Ben Hogan. However, appearing in a video does not necessarily mean that someone endorses the KC Golf product.
