Freeway Towing & Storage runs light-duty recovery and roadside service across the Phoenix metro — Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Scottsdale, Glendale, Peoria, Gilbert, Surprise, Goodyear, and North Phoenix. The Job
You'll run a light-duty flatbed on dispatched calls — motor club, private property impounds, accident recovery, breakdowns, lockouts, jump starts, and winch-outs. You'll work the night and weekend rotation. Our volume runs steady around the clock, so the trucks don't sit.
What You'll Do
Respond to dispatched calls promptly and safely, day or night
Load, secure, and transport vehicles on a light-duty flatbed without damage
Perform roadside services: lockouts, jump starts, tire changes, GOA calls, winching
Handle private property and abandoned vehicle impounds per Arizona statute and company procedure
Complete accurate paperwork and digital job entries on every call — photos, condition reports, signatures
Collect payment in the field and account for it correctly
Communicate professionally with customers, law enforcement, property managers, and dispatch
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; keep your truck clean, fueled, and roadworthy
Report mechanical issues and accidents immediately
Pay
This is a commission position — you earn a percentage of every call you run. Our drivers average $43 to $45 per call.
Our full-time drivers currently earn $1,175 to $1,750 per week — $61,000 to $91,000 a year. That is not a projection or a best-case estimate. That is what our crew is actually taking home right now, running 27 to 39 calls a week.
Run more calls, make more money. There is no cap. Full commission structure is covered in the interview.
Note: storage, admin fees, card processing, convenience fees, and fuel surcharge are non-commissionable line items.
Schedule
Full time. Nights and weekends are required — this is not a Monday-through-Friday daytime role. Our call volume runs steady across nights and weekends, so the work and the earnings are there on this shift.
Towing is a 24/7 business and holidays are part of the rotation. You can expect to work some of them.
Requirements — All Are Mandatory
Minimum 2 years of verifiable flatbed tow truck experience (light duty)
Clean driving record — MVR will be pulled; no DUIs, no excessive violations, no at-fault accident pattern
Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one before your start date)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. We are a drug-free workplace and conduct random and post-accident testing.
Valid Arizona driver's license
21 years of age or older (insurance requirement)
Able to pass a background check
Physically capable of the work: lifting 50+ lbs, bending, crawling under vehicles, working outdoors in Arizona heat and overnight conditions
Solid working knowledge of the Phoenix metro and surrounding freeways
Smartphone and comfort with digital dispatch software
Professional appearance and customer-facing demeanor
Preferred (Not Required)
WreckMaster, TRAA, or equivalent certification
Private property impound / PPI experience
Heavy or medium duty experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
