**Detailed Demolition, LLC | Phoenix, Arizona**
**Full-Time Position | Competitive Pay Based on Experience**
Detailed Demolition, LLC is an established commercial demolition contractor serving the Phoenix metropolitan area. We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and mechanically skilled individual to maintain, repair, and manage our fleet of construction equipment, trucks, trailers, and tools.
**The primary responsibility of this position is equipment maintenance and repair.** We need someone who can troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform repairs, complete preventative maintenance, and keep our equipment operating safely and reliably.
This position also includes maintaining an organized shop, along with transporting equipment to and from jobsites as needed.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, works independently, and understands the importance of keeping equipment ready for daily operations.
Primary Responsibilities
**Equipment Maintenance & Mechanical Repairs**
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair construction equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, excavators, hydraulic breakers, and other demolition equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, filters, lubrication, fluid replacement, and equipment inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical failures.
- Inspect equipment returning from jobsites and identify necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on company trucks, equipment trailers, and attachments.
- Repair or replace damaged hoses, fittings, components, and worn parts.
- Perform basic welding and fabrication repairs when qualified.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Identify developing mechanical problems before they result in equipment breakdowns or costly downtime.
- Coordinate specialized repairs with outside service providers when necessary.
- Ensure equipment is safe, properly serviced, and ready for its next assignment.
**Shop & Equipment Yard Management**
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient shop and equipment yard.
- Organize tools, attachments, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used parts, fluids, filters, and shop materials.
- Coordinate ordering of necessary repair parts and supplies.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and secured.
- Keep company equipment, trucks, and trailers in good operating condition.
- Take ownership of shop organization and equipment readiness.
**Equipment Transportation & Jobsite Support**
- Transport skid steers, mini excavators, attachments, tools, and other equipment between the shop and jobsites throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area as needed.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment using company trucks and trailers.
- Coordinate equipment pickups and deliveries with field management.
- Assist with occasional material pickups, parts runs, and equipment-related jobsite needs.
- Ensure transported equipment is in proper working condition and ready for use.
Qualifications & Experience
**Required Qualifications**
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience maintaining or repairing construction equipment, diesel equipment, trucks, or similar machinery.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop equipment.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and equipment servicing.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate construction equipment and tow equipment trailers, or willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of managing daily responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with equipment repair and shop operations.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience repairing Bobcat, Kobelco, or similar construction equipment.
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience repairing hydraulic breakers and demolition attachments.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience maintaining trucks and trailers.
- Previous experience managing a construction equipment shop or maintenance program.
- CDL is a plus but is not required.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a true hands-on mechanic, not simply someone who changes oil or transports equipment.
The ideal candidate enjoys diagnosing problems, figuring out how equipment works, and making repairs rather than automatically sending equipment to an outside mechanic.
We want someone who takes initiative, notices problems before they become major failures, and treats company equipment with care and responsibility.
This individual should be comfortable working independently, maintaining an organized shop, and taking ownership of the overall mechanical condition of our equipment fleet.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay based on mechanical experience and qualifications.
- Full-time, stable employment with an established Arizona demolition contractor.
- Opportunity to work on a variety of construction equipment and machinery.
- Independence and responsibility in managing equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Opportunity for long-term growth within the company.
- A team-oriented work environment that values hard work, reliability, and initiative.
