Up for consideration is a handsome antique Scottish carved oak hall stand / hall tree dating to the late Victorian to Edwardian era, circa 1890–1905. Built with exceptional craftsmanship and architectural proportions, this piece is made from solid oak with rich grain, reeded pilasters, and a broken-arch pediment centered with a carved rosette.
Features include:
• Original beveled looking glass mirror flanked by an open geometric grid back.
• Complete set of ten heavy-cast brass coat and hat hooks featuring classic reeded arms and ball finials.
• Center console base fitted with dovetailed drawers featuring incised aesthetic brass bail pulls.
• Raised display/parcel shelf beneath the mirror for mail, gloves, or keys.
• Dual flanking umbrella and walking stick stands with turned wooden ball finials.
• Both original metal drip pans intact in the bottom wells.
• Classical turned baluster legs and fluted column detailing throughout.
Condition: Very good antique condition throughout, structurally solid and sturdy. The wood displays a warm, even patina with minor age-appropriate surface marks and wear consistent with careful historic use. All brass hardware and drip trays are present and intact.
