Beautiful antique quarter-sawn oak secretary desk in good, solid condition.
I cannot guarantee age. Everything from my research via the internet and AI indicates that this piece is well over 100 hundred years old. I have not been able to find this exact piece anywhere. The desk been in storage for several years and is coming from a recently deceased relatives estate that was an antique collector.
This classic American piece features a gorgeous natural wood grain and functions perfectly as a writing desk, a laptop station, or a unique accent piece for an entryway or living room.
Features & Details:Material: Solid tiger/quarter-sawn oak with beautiful grain patterns.Top Section: Integrated upper vanity mirror with original wood framing.Desk Area: Drop-front slanted writing door with gorgeous carved scrollwork details and a central keyhole lock. Opens up to provide a sturdy writing surface.Storage: One large pull-out drawer with decorative brass pull handles, plus an open lower storage shelf perfect for books or display items.
Style: Late Victorian / Arts & Crafts era (circa 1890s–1920s), reminiscent of classic Larkin Co. designs.
Condition:Sturdy, structurally sound, and full of antique character. Shows normal wear consistent with age, including some light dust/surface wear. Includes original key (Note:locking mechanisms work but will need adjusted in order for desk and drawer to lock.
