Smooth agave (Agave desmettiana) is a low-maintenance succulent with dark green leaves that curl upwards to form a rosette shape. It's native to Mexico and Central America and can grow up to 3 ft tall and wide.
Sunlight: Prefers full sun (6+ hours) but can tolerate partial shade (3–6 hours)
Soil: Well-drained, sandy or gritty mix with a pH of 6.5 (acidic or neutral)
Watering: Low water needs, but can tolerate hot desert climates
Hardiness: Zones 8–11, can withstand freezing temperatures
Growth rate: Fast to moderate
