This guy would be your trail buddy!
17yr old papered tennessee walker gelding. Papered. Pusher bloodlines.
The good: great for shoer, very healthy, great ride in the mountains, used only for trail riding and rides in the fields. No buck, easy to catch. Lo in the hiearchy, mares will run him around. 16 hands. Stands for mounting from a mounting block.....i am too short from the ground. No health issues. Needs shoes only cuz he has light colored hooves that chip really easily. No lunging required. You can pull him out of the pasture after winter and jump right on.
The fun: kinda hot the first 10 minutes but just cuz he is ready to go. Settles right in. Will go forever.
The con: had a trailering accident a couple years ago and has loading anxiety. We are working on issues. Will continue working with him to make it second nature again
He is a lot of horse so no, he is not a beginners or kids horse.
Have owned for 6 years. My husband and i are aging out of horses is the reason for selling.
And before anyone asks, i do not have videos of his gaits because we just rode in the mountains. I am sure his "gaits" need work, but i really enjoy the ride.
