Percussionist and Bass Player needed for Minimalist Psych Band (Peekskill)

I'm a singer / songwriter / soundscaper (main instrument is guitar) looking for a percussionist (not necessarily a rock drummer) and upright bass or cello player to join my band.
Influences include but not limited to: The Velvet Underground, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, Boards of Canada, Magnetic Fields, R.E.M, XTC, Deerhunter, Captain Beefheart, Brian Wilson, Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary Chain, Adrian Sherwood and Dub music in general, Swans, Psychic TV, Emmylou Harris, Gram Parsons, 13th Floor Elevators, Spiritualized / Spacemen3, Cocteau Twins, Can, etc...
The intention is to meet weekly if possible (biweekly OK), work through the Fall and Winter of 2026, and start looking for opportunities to play out in the area starting early 2027. If you have a dedicated practice space, that is a bonus. If not, we will figure out how to practice quietly in my apartment or your space(s). I want to work with creative, flexible artists but you should know that the main purpose of this band is to perform my original songs so if this seems too limiting, it might not be a good fit for you.
