Looking for a steady side gig with room to grow? A small, locally owned Honolulu vending machine company is hiring a part-time stocker — about 4 hours per week, on a schedule you largely set yourself.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Restock snack and beverage vending machines at locations around urban Honolulu
- Check product dates, rotate stock, and keep machines clean and presentable
- Note any machine issues or low-selling products and report back
- Learn the vending business from the ground up — route planning, product selection, and what actually sells
This is a great fit for a student, semi-retired person, or anyone who wants a few reliable hours a week without a fixed shift. You choose when you stock, as long as the machines stay filled. For the right person, there's real opportunity to take on more as the business grows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Reliable and self-directed — you'll work independently
- Able to lift and carry cases of product (roughly 30 lbs)
- Must have an SUV, van, or similar vehicle with cargo space for product totes
- Comfortable handling cash and inventory with care and accuracy
- Must be bondable. A COMPLETE BACKGROUND CHECK WILL BE COMPLETED AS A REQUIREMENT OF BOND. No felony or misdemeanor convictions.
No vending experience needed — we'll train you.
DETAILS
- Approximately 4 hours per week (including drive time between stops), flexible scheduling
- $21–$25/hour depending on experience
- Mileage between stops reimbursed
- Part-time position; does not include health benefits (under the 20 hr/week threshold of the Hawaii Prepaid Health Care Act)
- Employment is contingent on successful completion of a complete background check, conducted after a conditional offer of employment in accordance with Hawaii law
