Selling “Gracie,” my mom’s Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) teardrop camper. This great little camper weighs in at around 720 lbs. and has most recently been towed with a VW Passat. Clear title and Maine plates. Trailer is in very good shape. My mom has kept her in a storage unit for most of the year since 2022, so she has not had much weather exposure since then.
The build:
Built as part of the CLC build-your-own class in Annapolis Marine plywood stitch-and-glue construction from CLC kit, with fiberglass and epoxy CLC MiniCel foam headliner interior 12v battery in galley powers interior lights CLC galley module in rear
CLC 12-gallon wooden storage box on tongue
Power roof fan and two mushroom vents
Roof racks with 2 bike holders
Great blue heron inlay
The trailer:
Trailex trailer
12” wheels (other option was 8”)
Standard 1” ball
Upgraded jack: Ark Xtreme offroad swivel jack with dual wheels — easier solo maneuvering over gravel.
Gracie was not used this season, but all trailer lights worked fine as of last season.
Camping extras: Queen mattress
Wheel chocks
Dinnerware and flatware
Gracie was constructed in Annapolis, as her builder/original owner participated in the build-your-own class at the CLC workshop. One other owner (in Ohio) prior to my mom getting her in 2022.
My mom loves this camper, but family circumstances have changed and she is not using it as much as she wants to. She wants Gracie — or whatever her new name will be — to go to someone who will take her out more.
Currently located in Pasadena, about 30 minutes north of Annapolis. I may be able to deliver within 200 miles. Asking $8500, but feel free to make an offer.
Better and more detailed photos are coming soon, but I wanted to get a listing up this weekend.
