Founded in Itaewon in 2016, Pizza The Life is an independent pizzeria specializing in Florentine-style Italian pizza. Pizza sound means 'bloom' in Korean so the name means Bloom your life.
Our kitchen is run by a chef with top restaurant in Florence, Italy. We focus on quality ingredients, traditional techniques, and making pizza the way we believe it should be made.
Thin, crispy crusts, fresh ingredients, carefully arranged toppings, and pizzas finished in the oven.
We believe pizza can be a form of craftsmanship, and that a great pizza is worth traveling across Seoul for.
We're looking for someone to join our small team and grow with us.
A Different Kind of Part-Time Job
Do you enjoy Italian food, cooking, or making things with your hands?
At Pizza The Life, you'll get hands-on experience in a working pizzeria. You'll learn how to prepare ingredients, stretch pizza dough, arrange toppings, and eventually cook pizzas in the oven.
You don't need culinary school experience or a professional cooking background.
We're happy to teach someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in learning.
What You'll Do
- Prepare fresh vegetables, mushrooms, and other ingredients
- Stretch and shape pizza dough
- Prepare toppings and plate pizzas
- Learn pizza oven techniques and quality control
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including washing dishes
- Help with daily kitchen operations
You'll be involved in real kitchen work from the beginning, with guidance as you develop your skills.
Training & Development
Months 1–3 | Learn the Basics
Get familiar with our ingredients, kitchen routines, dough handling, pizza shaping, toppings, and food safety.
Months 4–6 | Develop Your Skills
Improve your dough-stretching technique, learn to work with the pizza oven, and develop consistency in your cooking.
Months 7–12 | Become a Pizzaiolo
Build the skills to prepare pizzas independently, take part in menu development, and learn more about running a pizzeria.
We also offer an in-house Pizzaiolo certification program (Levels 1–3) to recognize your progress.
Certain proprietary recipes and production processes are not included in the training.
Opportunities Beyond the Kitchen
We're planning to expand Pizza The Life into a multi-location brand.
As we grow, we'd like to create opportunities for team members to become full-time chefs, kitchen managers, and store managers.
Our longer-term vision is to give selected team members the chance to run their own Pizza The Life location without having to invest their own startup capital.
Someone who starts as a part-time trainee today could eventually be managing one of our future locations.
These opportunities will depend on business expansion, individual performance, and separate agreements.
