Experienced Math Tutor - Purdue Mathematics Graduate (Palm Harbor)

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Core Mathematics from Purdue University. While at Purdue, I was hired by the university to tutor an adult student returning to school later in life, and I also completed specialized coursework in tutoring.
I have successfully tutored students in a wide range of high school mathematics and can also help with most introductory college math courses.
My tutoring philosophy is to ask the right questions so students learn to solve problems independently. I provide guidance, encouragement, and parallel examples that build understanding rather than simply giving away the answer. In general, I work with the student's own class materials, so please bring the questions or topics you'd like to cover.
I typically meet students in a public location such as a library or coffee shop.
My rate is $40 for the first hour and $20 for each additional hour. A 90-minute session is $50. These rates apply to locations near Palm Harbor and Oldsmar. For travel requiring more than about 15 minutes of driving, I may charge an additional $10 travel fee.
